Market Development Specialist – Da Nang & Central Vietnam Region
Department: Sales – Market Development
Reports to: Operations Director
Work location: Da Nang (with frequent business travel across the Central provinces from Quang Binh to Khanh Hoa and the Central Highlands)
Type: Full-time
Position Objective
Responsible for developing, expanding, and maintaining the customer base in the Da Nang and Central Vietnam region; acting as the company’s key point of contact in the area; and driving sales for both product lines: (i) medical consumables and (ii) supply management software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Developing new customers
- Survey and map potential customers within the assigned area: provincial/district public hospitals, private hospitals, general and specialized clinics.
- Approach and build relationships with the Pharmacy department, Medical Supplies & Equipment department, General Planning department, and hospital Boards of Directors.
- Introduce consumable products and demo the supply management software solution to customers.
Managing existing customers
- Maintain regular relationships, track product usage progress, and handle feedback and complaints.
- Coordinate with the technical / software implementation team during go-live and provide after-sales support.
Market intelligence
- Collect and analyze information on competitors, pricing trends, and the supply catalog currently used by hospitals.
- Provide periodic reports on market conditions, sales, and the customer pipeline.
Internal coordination
- Work with the Japanese and Vietnamese product teams to respond to customer needs.
- Support the organization of seminars, industry events, and marketing activities in the Central region.
Required Qualifications
- College/University graduate, preferably in Pharmacy, Nursing, Medical Equipment, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of B2B sales experience in medical supplies & equipment, pharmaceuticals, or technology solutions for hospitals.
- Understanding of public hospital procurement and bidding processes (Bidding Law 22/2023, Decree 24/2024, Decree 98/2021 on medical equipment management).
- An existing network of relationships at hospitals in the Central region is a strong advantage.
- Willing to travel frequently within the assigned area; owns a personal vehicle and holds a driver’s license.
Preferred
- Experience selling hospital management software (HIS, supplies, pharmacy inventory).
- Good conversational English (to work with Japanese colleagues); Japanese language skills are an advantage.
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools.
Soft Skills
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proactive, self-managing, with a high sense of responsibility when working away from the main office.
- Professional working style aligned with Japanese corporate culture: meticulous, punctual, and honest.
